Description
The 30A PWM Solar Charge Controller is a reliable and efficient solution for regulating solar power in off-grid systems, supporting 12V and 24V battery banks with automatic voltage detection. Utilizing Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) technology, it optimizes charging by adjusting the duty cycle to prevent overcharging, extending battery life with a three-stage charging process (Bulk, Boost, Float). With a maximum charging current of 30A, it handles up to 360W (12V) or 720W (24V) of solar input, featuring dual USB ports (5V/2.5A max) for charging devices like phones. The built-in LCD display provides real-time data on battery voltage, charging current, and load status, with adjustable parameters for load working mode (e.g., 24H, 1-15H, dusk-to-dawn) and battery type (Lead-Acid, GEL, AGM, or Lithium).
This controller offers robust protection against overcurrent, short-circuit, reverse polarity, overcharge, and low voltage, with automatic recovery features to enhance system safety. It includes dual MOSFET reverse current protection for low heat production and is compatible with Lead-Acid (open, sealed, gel) and some Lithium batteries, though specific Lithium profiles may vary by model. For Arduino or Raspberry Pi integration, connect the battery first, then the solar panel, and finally the load, using the provided terminals (reverse order for disassembly). Connect VCC to 12V/24V, GND to ground, and use the USB ports or load terminals as needed. It operates effectively from -10°C to +50°C and is typically housed in a compact enclosure (around 130x70x30mm).
Note: Ensure the battery voltage is above 10V for initial recognition, and install in a well-ventilated area to manage heat during operation.
