Description
The 1N5819 Schottky Diode is a high-efficiency silicon diode designed for low-voltage, high-frequency rectification and protection applications. Featuring a maximum repetitive reverse voltage (Vrrm) of 40V and a forward current (If) rating of 1A (with a peak surge capability of up to 25A for 8.3ms), it’s perfect for use in switching power supplies, reverse polarity protection, and low-voltage DC circuits. Encased in a DO-41 (DO-204AL) axial package, the 1N5819 offers a notably low forward voltage drop of approximately 0.55V at 1A, thanks to its Schottky barrier design, which also provides fast switching with negligible reverse recovery time. With a power dissipation of 1.25W and an operating temperature range of -65°C to 125°C, this RoHS-compliant diode is a popular choice for solar panels, battery chargers, and DIY electronics projects like Arduino or LED drivers. Its axial leads are solderable, and the cathode is marked with a band for easy polarity identification.
