Description
The Heartbeat / Pulse Sensor Module for Arduino is a biomedical sensor designed to measure heart rate through simple analog signal detection. By placing the sensor on a fingertip or earlobe, it detects small changes in blood volume with each heartbeat and outputs a corresponding analog voltage signal.
This module is widely used in DIY health monitoring projects, wearable devices, and academic experiments. It is fully compatible with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, and other microcontroller platforms. The sensor comes pre-wired with color-coded cables for easy connection:
-
Red wire: +V (Power)
-
Black wire: GND
-
Purple/Yellow wire: Signal output
With a built-in amplification and noise reduction circuit, the module provides a cleaner pulse waveform, making it easier to process in real-time. Developers can use it to display heart rate data on LCDs, plot waveforms on serial monitors, or send readings to IoT dashboards.
Key Features:
-
Easy to Use: Plug-and-play with Arduino and other microcontrollers.
-
Non-Invasive Measurement: Works with fingertip or earlobe placement.
-
Signal Output: Analog voltage signal for real-time monitoring.
-
Built-In Circuit: Amplification and noise reduction for better accuracy.
-
Compatibility: Works with Arduino, ESP32, Raspberry Pi, STM32, etc.
-
Applications: DIY health monitors, wearable devices, fitness trackers, biomedical experiments, and educational projects.
