Description
The S9014 NPN Transistor is a high-performance, low-power silicon transistor designed for pre-amplification, low-frequency oscillation, and switching applications. With a maximum collector-emitter voltage (Vce) of 45V and a collector current (Ic) rating of 100 mA, it’s tailored for small-signal tasks requiring precision and minimal noise. The S9014 features a power dissipation of 400 mW and an impressive DC current gain (hFE) ranging from 60 to 1000 (depending on the variant: S9014A, B, C, or D), ensuring excellent linearity for audio frequency (AF) amplifiers and pre-amplifiers. Housed in a TO-92 package, it offers a collector-base voltage (Vcb) of 50V and an emitter-base voltage (Veb) of 5V, with a transition frequency (fT) of approximately 150 MHz. This transistor is commonly used in radios, telephones, and DIY electronics projects, often paired with its PNP complement, the S9015. It operates reliably within a temperature range of -55°C to 150°C, making it a robust and affordable choice for hobbyists and professionals.
