Description

The C945 NPN Transistor (often labeled as 2SC945) is a widely used silicon bipolar junction transistor (BJT) designed for low-power amplification and switching applications. With a maximum collector-emitter voltage (Vce) of 50V and a collector current (Ic) rating of 150 mA, it’s perfect for small-signal amplification and driving light loads in electronic circuits. The C945 offers a power dissipation of 250 mW and a DC current gain (hFE) ranging from 70 to 700 (depending on variants like C945P, Q, R, or Y), making it suitable for audio amplifiers, oscillators, and signal processing tasks. Housed in a TO-92 package, it features a collector-base voltage (Vcb) of 60V and an emitter-base voltage (Veb) of 5V, with a transition frequency (fT) of approximately 150 MHz. Complementary to the A733 PNP transistor, the C945 is a popular choice for push-pull amplifier designs, educational projects, and consumer electronics like radios and toys. It operates effectively within a temperature range of -55°C to 150°C.
