Description

The 0-25V Voltage Sensor Module is a compact and cost-effective solution for measuring DC voltages up to 25V using a microcontroller’s analog input. Based on a resistive voltage divider design, it reduces the input voltage by a factor of 5 using two precision resistors (typically 30kΩ and 7.5kΩ), allowing safe measurement with a 0-5V analog pin (e.g., on an Arduino). This module supports an input voltage range of 0 to 25V (or up to 16.5V with a 3.3V system), with a minimum detectable voltage of 0.02445V and an analog resolution of 0.00489V due to the 10-bit ADC of Arduino AVR chips (5V / 1023). It features screw terminals for secure connection of the voltage source and a 3-pin header (VCC, GND, S) for easy integration with microcontrollers.
The module is ideal for monitoring battery levels, detecting over/under-voltage faults, or building DIY voltmeters. For Arduino use, connect the positive and negative terminals of the voltage source to the screw terminals, link the S pin to an analog pin (e.g., A0), and the GND pin to the microcontroller’s ground. No external library is required, making it user-friendly for projects like portable power monitors or solar system diagnostics. The module, approximately 28x14x13mm, operates effectively from -10°C to +50°C.
Note: Ensure the input voltage does not exceed 25V to avoid damaging the microcontroller, and calibrate with a multimeter for accuracy, especially if using a non-standard reference voltage.
